Around Île Verte

The coves of La Ciotat offer a magnificent setting in which to relax and enjoy the Mediterranean. Whether you’re a fan of swimming, snorkelling or hiking, you’re sure to find something to suit you amongst the coves of this beautiful coastal town. You can also go for a swim there with your dog 🐕

As they’re located onÎle Verte, you’ll need to take the Aquilade shuttle to get there (or go by paddleboard, kayak, etc.).

Saint-Pierre Cove is one of the best-known coves on the Île Verte; it’s the one you arrive at if you take the shuttle from Port-Vieux. It offers breathtaking views of the sea; the water is crystal-clear and refreshing, ideal for swimming and diving.

Seynerolles Cove is a little more hidden away. Signs show you the way to get there. Situated in the south-east of the island, it offers a beautiful view of the Var coast. A few pine trees provide some shade. It’s our favourite beach on the ‘Green Island’.

Finally, La Plageolle Cove, situated in the north of the island, is the smallest of the three. This cove has a small pebble beach. The opening to the sea is narrow, which protects it from the wind. However, space is very limited and the cove fills up quickly.
