Our coves

Île Verte

Tucked away on Île Verte, these little coves offer a peaceful and enchanting setting for swimming and relaxing.

Around Île Verte

The coves of La Ciotat offer a magnificent setting in which to relax and enjoy the Mediterranean. Whether you’re a fan of swimming, snorkelling or hiking, you’re sure to find something to suit you amongst the coves of this beautiful coastal town. You can also go for a swim there with your dog 🐕

As they’re located onÎle Verte, you’ll need to take the Aquilade shuttle to get there (or go by paddleboard, kayak, etc.).

    • Saint-Pierre Cove is one of the best-known coves on the Île Verte; it’s the one you arrive at if you take the shuttle from Port-Vieux. It offers breathtaking views of the sea; the water is crystal-clear and refreshing, ideal for swimming and diving.
    • Seynerolles Cove is a little more hidden away. Signs show you the way to get there. Situated in the south-east of the island, it offers a beautiful view of the Var coast. A few pine trees provide some shade. It’s our favourite beach on the ‘Green Island’.
    • Finally, La Plageolle Cove, situated in the north of the island, is the smallest of the three. This cove has a small pebble beach. The opening to the sea is narrow, which protects it from the wind. However, space is very limited and the cove fills up quickly.
    • La Grande Calanque and the Calanque d’Isserot are not accessible from the mainland.
