Description
The Escolo de la Ribo and a number of other associations in La Ciotat are inviting you to take part in the big Saint-Pierre festival, a festive day celebrating Provençal culture and traditions.
On the programme:
At 9.30 am, a performance of Provençal folk dances will take place on the forecourt of the Church of Notre Dame de l’Assomption.
This will be followed by a mass at the church, a procession of groups to Saint-Pierre, and traditional dances from the church to the Môle Bérouard.
Flagged boats will parade out to sea in front of the Môle Bérouard.
Finally, a tribute will be paid to Pierre Riba with a wreath-laying ceremony on his boat.
