Organ and Cinema Festival

Since 2020, the Orgues & Cinéma association has been organising evenings around the great François Mader organ, a romantic organ built in 1877 by this famous organ builder from Marseille. These are auditions given by local organists, young, amateur or professional, who come to play this exceptional instrument, restored by the town of La Ciotat in 2003 and 2021, for pleasure. The aim is to show that the organ is first and foremost a musical instrument, and that it can be combined with many other musical instruments.
