The Tourist Office is hosting an exhibition dedicated to Michel Simon. Come and see original posters from his films in foreign languages, which bear witness to the international influence of this iconic film actor.
The La Ciotat Tourist Office is hosting an exhibition dedicated to Michel Simon, an iconic figure of French cinema, featuring a collection of original film posters published in foreign languages.
An actor of singular talent and unforgettable personality, Michel Simon left his mark on the history of cinema through his performances, which were as powerful as they were deeply human. From *La Chienne* to *Quai des brumes*, via *Le Vieil Homme et l’Enfant*, his career bears witness to an exceptional body of work that extended far beyond France’s borders.
Presented in their original 90 × 67 cm format, the posters brought together for this exhibition offer a unique insight into the international reception of his work. They allow visitors to discover how Michel Simon’s films were presented and distributed to foreign audiences, whilst revealing the graphic and artistic diversity of cinema posters across different countries.
This exhibition is organised by Les Amis de Michel Simon.
An invitation to rediscover Michel Simon in a new light, through his work, his image and the way in which the international film world viewed this extraordinary actor.
