Organised by Les Lumières de l'Exploration, commissioned by the Société des Explorateurs Français, in partnership with Les Lumières de l'Éden and Ifremer, the Lumexplore Festival is the film festival for scientific and environmental exploration.
LUMEXPLORE is the Science and Environment Exploration Film Festival, organised annually since 2016 by the Société des Explorateurs Français in La Ciotat.
This year’s edition will take place from 9 to 13 September at the Eden Théâtre.
LUMEXPLORE is at the forefront of current affairs, featuring films on the latest research and solutions for environmental protection.
This prestigious and innovative event aims to introduce the general public to the latest developments in scientific research through expeditions.
The theme of LUMEXPLORE spans the ages. The films screened aim to take us on a journey of discovery through our world and its history, to better understand where we come from, and to find solutions today to preserve life on Earth in the future, whilst recognising the fragility of the planet and all the problems that need to be addressed.
