  • At the Éden Théâtre, the oldest cinema in the world, Le Cri du Court offers a unique programme: a selection of fifty short films that have won a Grand Prize or Audience Award at festivals and ceremonies around the world.

  • The Cri du Court programming team selects award-winning films from festivals around the world from the past year, presenting an overview of current short film production as well as the talents of tomorrow's cinema.

    On the programme:

    A screening dedicated to the youngest spectators (aged 6 to 9).
    Children are welcomed into the Éden courtyard for a warm and friendly family moment before discovering a selection of new and award-winning films.

    Short films from the guest's filmography will be screened, followed by a discussion with the audience.

    A carte blanche for the organisers of another festival.
    Each year, the Cri du Court offers a screening space to an international festival.

    A screening in partnership with an association in La Ciotat.
    Every year, the Cri du Court partners up with a local association by dedicating a screening to it. This year, Art et Essai Lumière will be hosting a carte blanche screening.

    A day dedicated to school audiences.
    The programming team attaches great importance to the preparation of school programmes in order to raise young audiences' awareness of current issues. These screenings can be used as an educational tool by school staff.

    A round table discussion with the members of the jury.
    The public is invited to take part in discussions with professionals about the film industry.

    In a festive and joyful atmosphere, an opening night will mark the start of the screenings, and the closing night will present the 2023 awards.

    At the same time, other events will be taking place, including musical aperitifs with live musicians. An exhibition in the lobby of the Éden Théâtre, live art, poetry, dance...
