Description

Immerse yourself in the heart of ancient Egypt during an interactive talk led by Didier Bonaccorsi. Religion, the Nile, symbols, temples and pyramids will reveal the secrets of a fascinating civilisation.
The La Ciotat Prestige association is organising an interactive talk on Ancient Egypt, led by Didier Bonaccorsi, who is passionate about this fascinating civilisation. Entitled The Nile: Source of Life, this event invites participants to discover the Egypt of the pharaohs through the beliefs, traditions and great achievements that have shaped its history. The talk will focus in particular on the polytheistic religion, exploring the main gods, rituals and beliefs of Ancient Egypt. The vital role of the Nile in daily life will also be discussed, particularly its importance for agriculture and the country’s prosperity. Participants will then set out to explore the many symbols of this civilisation, from hieroglyphs to amulets, including the significance of sacred colours. Temples – true places of worship, but also of power and mystery – will also be at the heart of this exploration. Finally, the lecture will focus on the pyramids, the iconic monuments of Ancient Egypt and exceptional testaments to the power of the pharaohs. An interactive evening to step back in time and gain a deeper understanding of a civilisation whose beliefs, symbols and monuments continue to fascinate.
