Exhibition of paintings: ‘Unusual Provence’

In this exhibition, Provence reveals itself, sometimes in unexpected ways. The sea makes its presence felt amongst the flowers, harbours mingle with petals, and villages are reflected in bursts of colour that exist only in the imagination. The sea, flowers, everyday objects and fragments of life are brought together here in a colourful, unusual vision that transforms reality into poetry. Each canvas offers a glimpse of Provence. André Lataguerra André Lataguerra is renowned for his vibrant and luminous Provençal scenes! Based in La Ciotat, he draws his inspiration from Mediterranean landscapes and local markets. Active since the 1980s, he excels in oil on canvas, capturing the essence of everyday life. His works are regularly exhibited, attracting collectors and holidaymakers alike. His style, realistic and colourful, reflects a deep attachment to his native region. Cabou Self-taught, after three years at the Stern studio in Paris, Catherine Point-Bourdeau – known as Cabou – worked whilst travelling with painters and visual artists, before returning to Provence, the land of her roots. For her, art takes on various dimensions: gesture, colour and light. She enjoys experimenting with techniques, media and subjects, and sometimes plays with chance, always ready to take on a new challenge. Her oil paintings, ink works and a few unlikely combinations reveal her sensitivity, and always take us a little further.
