Skalp Bijoux offers jewellery handcrafted in France, in their workshop in La Ciotat.
The materials used include metal (copper, brass, silver), glass powder, recycled materials, sea-polished glass, seeds, and more.
Ethnic/urban jewellery
Each piece of jewellery is unique in its craftsmanship. The metal is cut, hammered, patinated and enamelled. Most of the materials used are fired in a kiln at temperatures ranging from 500 to 750 degrees (bronze, silver and glass powder).
Nature is a source of inspiration and materials. Polished glass is gathered from the beaches of La Ciotat, and seeds from a garden.
Coloured beads are also used (glass, acrylic, wood, etc.) to create an ethnic yet distinctly urban look.
Each piece is unique.
The jewellery-making process involves several stages: selecting the material, then in the workshop, cutting the material, sanding, soldering, etc., and finally assembly and the choice of findings.
You’ll discover the result: a mix of looks—ethnic, urban or spiritual.
The history of jewellery and its role…
Essential accessories to reveal the beauty of a face. Earrings to highlight the colour of the eyes. Defining a personality, asserting a look, spiritual symbols, energetic functions, practical uses.
Jewellery creates energy.
Those created in the Skalp Bijoux workshop, nestled beneath the pine trees on the Mediterranean coast, are inspired by the surrounding nature as well as by the blend of culture and spirituality.
Metals such as silver, bronze, brass and aluminium are shaped, cut and hammered there.
Raw, meaningful jewellery with imperfect curves, crafted from fine materials.
