Description

An exhibition featuring two local artists with distinct styles at the Le Cercle 76 gallery.
Abstract art for one, Pop Art for the other – yet both share a common thread: the use of warm, vibrant colours reminiscent of the Mediterranean landscape and culture. Profound symbolism lies hidden within the paintings, reflecting the artists’ life journeys, where the brush brings to life a memory, a need, a hope – including the hope of meeting you. Rachel Valy Rachel Valy’s painting springs from intuition. She allows herself to be guided by the colours, textures and shapes that gradually emerge on the canvas. Through layers of acrylic, inks, chalks and marks made with everyday objects, she seeks a balance between movement and stillness, strength and gentleness. Her work invites everyone to a personal experience, where emotion, the imagination and inner resonances take precedence over representation. More than just an image, each canvas offers a space for contemplation, a dialogue between the visible and the invisible. Patrice Roig Patrice Roig is a timeless artist who varies his styles according to his passions, his doubts, his travels, the changing seasons, and the signs to which he pays attention. From black to white to comforting colours, as if he were moving from the past to the present, and vice versa, for time is of no consequence when one feels alive. His artistic journey mirrors his life as a man. In collaboration with the pen of Rocally Artist, writer, poet. Her sensitivity became intertwined with her writing, giving rise to their first collaboration, which developed over the months. His Spanish roots are revealed through his paintings: warm, luminous colours reminiscent of the Mediterranean and his own childhood memories, in which his mother’s faith played a central role, eventually touching him personally when he himself faced hardship. The monkey is not merely an animal; it also represents the loved ones he has lost, and those who love him so deeply that he himself has become a patron of a chimpanzee orphanage in Africa – a land that mirrors his own spirit. He is a being of light, imbued with such intensity that he leaves no one indifferent, prompting us all to reflect on the true meaning of love.
