Where the sea meets art. The Aqua Gallery in La Ciotat brings together 25 local artists and creators around a shared theme: the sea, the Mediterranean, water, the colour blue and our region. Art and creativity in all their forms.

The Aqua Gallery is a space dedicated to lovers of the sea, the Mediterranean, the colour blue and art in all its forms. Situated in the heart of La Ciotat, the gallery brings together 25 artists and creators selected for their shared theme: the sea, water and our Mediterranean region. The gallery showcases art photography centred on the aquatic world and the landscapes of the La Ciotat area, alongside digital creations and reproductions of paintings and illustrations. Each work is produced in a limited edition of fewer than 30 copies. Alongside these, the Aqua Gallery showcases the work of local designers and craftspeople through a selection of objects and pieces produced in small batches or by hand, all of which are closely linked to the gallery’s theme. Our aim is to prioritise local talent, French craftsmanship, short supply chains and independent creation, whilst offering works and creations at a range of price points to make art more accessible. The Aqua Gallery is also a vibrant space, designed to foster encounters between the public, artists and creators. Temporary exhibitions, meet-ups, workshops and talks will gradually form the backbone of the gallery’s programme. With the opening of its multimedia studio dedicated to photography, video and podcasts, Aqua aims to go even further and become a true hub for creation, knowledge-sharing and exchange in La Ciotat. A gallery with deep roots in its local area, focused on the Mediterranean and on the people who create, interpret and tell its story.
