Is there an admission charge?

No, entry to the park is completely free .

ON FOOT: it’s a 20-minute walk from the Tourist Office. BY BUS: line 355, ‘Mugel’ stop – €0.90 BY CAR : Mugel car park – charges apply from 1 May to 30 September, from 9.00 am to 8.00 pm (one hour free once a day), every day of the week, including Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays)

What are the restrictions?

It is forbidden to play ball, smoke or light a campfire.

Can you get there by bike? What about with a pushchair?

Prams are not allowed . Bicycles are also not allowed; you can leave them at the park entrance.

Mugel Park

The Mugel Park is situated on the site of a former river delta where a river once flowed nearly 100 million years ago. Situated in the heart of the Calanques National Park, this river carried sand, gravel and pebbles along its course, which accumulated and fused together. This formed a reddish rock with large pebbles that geologists call ‘poudingue’. Through erosion, this rock has taken on mystical shapes such as the Trois Secs or the Bec de l’Aigle, a former landmark for sailors.

A gem of La Ciotat

La Calanque is home to a 12-hectare botanical garden, perfect for a stroll and for discovering the many plants of our region, some of which are extremely rare. It features dense vegetation comprising holm oaks, chestnut trees, noble laurels, cork oaks, carob trees, tin laurels, Aleppo pines, umbrella pines and maritime pines, clumps of bamboo and wildflowers.

A fairly steep path leads to a viewpoint at a height of 82 metres, offering sweeping views of the vast expanse of the sea.
