The Rotary Club Dictation

The Rotary Club of La Ciotat Ceyreste is fully committed to this approach and is delighted to invite you to its 5th Rotary Dictation.

This afternoon will be above all a time for sharing and enjoyment, open to all: young people, adults, spelling experts or the simply curious. You don't have to be an expert speller to take part: the dictation will be anonymous, and everyone will be able to correct their text with the help of the author.

This year, Michel Cornille, author of the ‘Golfe d'amour’ dictation in 2023 and President of the Les Lumières de l'Eden association, will once again be on hand to write the text and read it out. It's the perfect opportunity to have some fun while revising the spelling of some pretty words and untangling the pitfalls of grammatical agreements!

This friendly dictation will be followed by an opportunity to chat over a galette des rois and a glass of cider, provided by the Rotary Club of La Ciotat Ceyreste thanks to the support of many of the town's bakers and patissiers. It's a great opportunity to get together, chat and have fun in a friendly atmosphere.

As well as the pleasure of spelling, this dictation aims to help young people in our region. All the money raised will be donated to associations in La Ciotat that provide homework help, to support tutoring and promote access to education for all.

To top it all off, prizes donated by the Rotary Club of La Ciotat Ceyreste and its partners, including the Eden Théâtre cinema, will be awarded to the best and luckiest participants! So there will be prizes to be won by everyone, whether you're a champion speller... or just a lover of words.
