From a very early age, Olivier Ponsot took playing truant very seriously and with great dedication...
It was indeed on these side roads that he made his finest encounters. A few wise, bearded old men passed on their ‘non-knowledge’ to him. A couple of ruffians here and there sparked his rebellious spirit, and a handful of women lightened his step. Many children—with their fits of laughter, tousled hair, runny noses, torn trousers and grazed knees—gave him that priceless strength to lift straws...
