The new marina was built in 1967, starting with the Capucins basin. The Bérouard basin completes this infrastructure. Since 2002, this port has hosted the annual Les Nauticales boat show.

The marina of La Ciotat is located to the north-east of the Port Vieux and the shipyards. It is composed of two harbour basins, separated by a wide platform serving as a parking area and careening area with a crane serving as a boat lift. The harbour master's office (port establishment) and a slipway are located on the breakwater. The Bérouard basin is located to the west, and the Capucins basin to the east. Both basins are protected by rockfill dykes and have a surface area of just over 4 hectares. The Bérouard basin is equipped with 7 floating pontoons, and boats are also moored at the quay. This basin can accommodate approximately 350 boats. The Capucins basin is equipped with 3 pontoons and quays, accommodating approximately 320 boats afloat and in the dry, behind the harbour basin. Each breakwater is equipped with a light marking the entrance to the harbour.
