The originator of this event is Stéphan Guérard, a native of La Ciotat and passionate collector, who unveils his latest exhibition here, the culmination of more than 35 years of research, discoveries and encounters.
A former film school student, Stéphan Guérard describes himself as the guardian of the actor's memory, a role he takes on with deep loyalty. His collection, put together with love, brings together rare items: photos from film shoots, posters, props, set and costume models, scripts, and even letters written by the actor himself. Among the most notable documents are the scripts for The Mad Adventures of Rabbi Jacob and La Soupe aux choux, accompanied by sketches and Polaroids from the period.
Each item on display is accompanied by explanatory notes on the context, production or history of these unique pieces.
For two weeks, this exhibition offers an intimate journey behind the scenes of cinema and into the legacy of a genius of comedy, whose popularity has never waned!
