After the Looking for Parker trio, numerous concerts and an album released on the Bee jazz label in 2013, Géraldine Laurent, Christophe Marguet and Manu Codjia invite saxophonist Jean-Charles Richard for this new chapter.

Ten years on, it's time again to put the music of Charles Mingus, one of the most influential bassists and composers on the jazz scene in the 20th century, into perspective.
The Quartet Looking for Mingus will draw on the vast repertoire of this great master of melody and revisit the themes that have left their mark (Reincarnation of a Lovebird, Tonight at Noon, Haitian Fight Song and many others).
The quartet's new repertoire is built around a unique instrumentation (no double bass,...Ten years on, it's time again to put the music of Charles Mingus, one of the most influential bassists and composers on the jazz scene in the 20th century, into perspective.

The quartet's new repertoire is built around a unique instrumentation (no double bass, which in itself is a challenge when it comes to evoking the music of Mingus!), between the electric sounds of the guitar and the acoustic sounds of the alto and baritone saxophones and drums.
With Manu Codjia on electric guitar, Géraldine Laurent on alto saxophone, Jean-Charles Richard on baritone saxophone and Christophe Marguet on drums.
