The Jousting Club of La Ciotat, Leï Targaïres Ciotadens, was created in 1924 and perpetuates the tradition of maritime games by training jousters and participating in competitions.

Perched on the tintaine atop the boats, equipped with a spear and a bulwark, the jousters all aspire to win the fight. Indeed, the aim is to make the opponent fall into the water when the boats cross. Provençal jousting is an extremely spectacular sport in which the family tradition is the rule.
