The municipal water sports centre also works in partnership with associations and the town's departments to organise water sports events, in particular optimist sailing for the town's primary schools.

In consultation with the Bouches-du-Rhône Departmental Directorate for Land and Sea (DDTM), it draws up the buoyage plan.

During the summer season, it manages the Handiplage scheme.

This scheme, which has been awarded the Tourism 4 Handicaps label (motor, sight-impaired, hearing and psychological disabilities), offers safe bathing with adapted equipment:
7 tiralos (wheelchairs adapted for independent people),
3 hippocampes (wheelchairs adapted for autonomous people),
1 motorised lifting system to ensure wheelchair transfers,
as well as changing room and shower services supervised by a team.
The Handiplage scheme is open from mid-June to mid-September.

    Environment - Natura 2000
The environment is an integral part of the municipal water sports centre. As a Natura 2000 operator since 2011, the town of La Ciotat's environmental department manages projects to preserve the protected species and habitats in the bay. In addition, this sector manages the city's seafront and ensures that it is in a good state of conservation.

    Blue Flag
This international environmental and tourism label has been awarded to Cyrnos beach since 2023. The water sports centre monitors the quality of bathing water, implements pollution prevention action plans, manages the installation of equipment for selective waste collection and organises educational activities on biodiversity.

    Educational Marine Area
The water sports base is involved in the Mugel Educational Marine Area project run by 2 school groups from La Garde and Louis Marin in partnership with the Calanques National Park, the C.P.I.E. Atelier Bleu and the French Ministry of Education. The aim of the project is to involve pupils in actions to protect the marine environment as part of their education for sustainable development.

    Bathing surveillance
The municipal water sports centre organises beach surveillance in collaboration with the municipal police, the La Ciotat/Ceyreste fire brigade and the town's lifeguards.
