Louis Sciarli: a witness to his time

Born and bred in the region, Louis Sciarli has always had a particular affinity with his environment. With an approach that is both technical and artistic, he has explored the different facets of La Ciotat from a height. His mastery of the landscape, the management of light and his taste for aesthetics have made him an outstanding photographer. Between 1973 and 1988, he was able to capture the transformation of the town, between modernity and heritage, while preserving the soul of this unique place.

A dialogue between past and present
Through this series of 32 photographs, the exhibition invites us to reflect on change and memory. Forty years after they were taken, the images reveal a La Ciotat that has evolved while retaining its roots. This is an opportunity for visitors to compare these images of yesterday with the town of today, and to feel the impact of time on this familiar landscape.

We look forward to seeing many of you there to discover La Ciotat in a different light and appreciate the timeless beauty of these aerial shots.
