To celebrate World Animal Day, La Ciotat hosts a full day dedicated to animals, animal welfare and ocean conservation, featuring activities, demonstrations, exhibitions and talks.

Police dog unit demonstration (afternoon)
Dog training demonstration with Aurélien Lazou and the Cassis Animal Shelter

Wildlife photography exhibition by Delphine Dumont, in the hall of La Chaudronnerie
Painting exhibition by artist Carine Lauber, in the hall of La Chaudronnerie
Talks
11 am – Dr Olivier Grandie, veterinarian
Talk based on his book L’animal, miroir de l’homme (The Animal, Mirror of Man) – 1 hour.
2 pm – Paul Watson
Talk: SOS océans en détresse (SOS Oceans in Distress) – 1.5 hours.
4 pm – Eddy Basset
What future for our oceans: protect or consume?
A diver’s perspective on transforming our choices and our role as witnesses – 1 hour.
A day to discover, exchange ideas and reflect on our relationship with animals and the preservation of our natural world.
