After training as a cabinetmaker, David Gila wanted to fill spaces with these metal sylphs. Steel is a medium he loves for its modernity, flexibility and hardness.
His output increased when the Charlie Hebdo attack took place. He felt immense sadness at the sudden and brutal death of people who had inspired him when he was still living in Paris.
Thus, the creation of these characters, which symbolise these subversive thoughts, seemed obvious to him. He also enjoys working on the impression, the ineffable, the subjective interpretation of the work.

David Gila will exhibit a dozen wood and metal sculptures on the theme of the body and matter.
