Roselyne Conil's works are now part of everyday life for the residents of La Ciotat. In the Jardin de la Ville, everyone can come across L'Arroseur arrosé (The Sprinkler Sprinkled), a mischievous tribute to the Lumière brothers' film, or her Promeneurs colorés (Colourful Walkers).

A free-spirited, spontaneous artist with a deep attachment to expressing joy, Roselyne Conil conveys a vision full of fantasy and humanity through her work. Her artistic journey is in keeping with Robert Mallet's phrase: Art is a studious path towards playing truant.
Invited for the third time to take over the Chapelle des Pénitents Bleus, the artist will present a new exhibition that highlights the richness of her work. Her artistic journey is in keeping with Robert Mallet's phrase: Art is a studious path towards playing truant.
Invited for the third time to take over the Chapelle des Pénitents Bleus, the artist will present a new exhibition that highlights the richness of her work. The centre of the space will be transformed into a sculptural garden, inhabited by life-size figures and highly expressive birds, crafted in bronze and glass.
On the walls, the public will be able to discover another side of her universe: digital recreations and, above all, her astonishing engraved cardboard works. These pieces, fashioned from layers of sculpted and then painted corrugated cardboard, reveal lively and colourful forms that complete the ensemble.
This new exhibition is an invitation to explore La Ciotat in a different way. Streets, squares, coastline and old port appear filtered through Roselyne Conil's unique gaze, between poetry, fantasy and emotion.
