‘The Most Beautiful Bays in the World’ drawing competition: La Ciotat's young people take centre stage!

As part of the international drawing competition launched by the Youth Committee of the Most Beautiful Bays in the World association, in partnership with the Veolia Foundation, two classes from the Abeille primary school in La Ciotat were invited to take part in this wonderful initiative.

Aimed at young people under the age of 14, this competition sought to encourage children's creativity while raising their awareness of the importance of preserving biodiversity and marine environments. Each bay that is a member of the association was invited to select two drawings to represent its region. Twenty-one bays out of 42 members took part.

In La Ciotat, the Tourist Office committed to promoting this local participation by exhibiting the drawings created by the pupils of the Abeille school. This was an opportunity to highlight the imagination of the youngest children on the theme of water and to remind us of the importance of raising awareness of environmental issues from an early age.

The results of the competition will be announced at the association's next annual conference, to be held in September 2025 in Canada. Four international winners will receive cash prizes to fund educational activities related to sustainable development in their schools.

Well done to the children for their enthusiastic participation!
