Guillaume Mottet, climbing instructor in the calanques from Marseille to La Ciotat and everywhere in Provence.
Guillaume Mottet has been passionate about climbing since childhood and was introduced to it at a very early age thanks to the mountain club in Villemur-sur-Tarn, a small town in the south-west of France where he is originally from. His first climbing experience was on the rock of Saint Antonin Noble Val, in the Aveyron gorges.
During a climbing trip with friends, he discovered Marseille and especially its national park. The beauty of the landscapes, the sun, the sea, and the infinite number of climbing routes seduced him!
It was decided, after a year already planned in Quebec, to validate his university course in computer science, he applied for the last year of a Master's degree in computer science at the Faculty of Luminy and left to live in Marseille.
Climbing as a passion will become his profession a few years later, following a professional reconversion.
More than 10 years later, he still lives close to the magnificent Calanques and climbing in all its forms remains a passion.
