The Empreintes exhibition is part of Lara Tabet's research and residency project Enter Corridors, and has been designed as an experimental project combining artistic and cultural education practices and sustainable development awareness-raising. Here she is initiating a dialogue between local authorities, the Parc national des Calanques, sea users, marine scientists and ecological communities, with the aim of moving beyond a territorialised approach to bodies of water and promoting ecological solidarity.
This participatory approach is being extended through a programme of transmission and creation in collaboration with the Virebelle secondary school. Through encounters and experiments, the eyes, words and gestures of the young participants are shaping a poetic understanding of contemporary ecological issues.
By revealing the ways in which living things interact, through the action of water and photosensitive techniques such as cyanotyping, and by exploring new ways of observing biodiversity, the pupils engage in a reflection on possible futures to be imagined, where creation becomes a language of transmission and awareness-raising.
The media library's youth team also worked with the young schoolchildren to create giant posters on the theme of We are nature.

Lara Tabet is a doctor and transdisciplinary artist working at the intersection of art, ecology, biomedical science and politics. She uses a wide range of media, including experimental photography, installation, video and bio-art. Her recent work combines scientific research, fiction and autobiography in relation to water, toxicity and the multiscalar entanglements between microscopic exchanges and global flows.
