    About the artist...
Christian Fromentin began playing music at a very young age, starting with the organ, then the guitar and finally the violin. He obtained a master's degree in musicology while teaching violin in the Centre-West region (from Châteauroux to the Vendée coast).
Specialising in several traditional music styles, both Western (Europe and North America) and Eastern (Persian, classical Arabic), he plays numerous instruments (violin, guitars, mandolin, saz, Persian kamantcheh, Arabic oud, etc.) and sings in several languages. Beyond repertoires, composition and improvisation allow him to find himself in a more personal universe and to exchange in a different way in mixed projects, whether musical or multidisciplinary.
Passionate about cultural history, he proposes and participates in numerous thematic projects focusing on French, Irish, Italian, Danubian, Arab, Persian and other traditions, which may combine concerts and lectures. He works regularly with the Padamnezi company (Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region), which creates tailor-made shows based on local history (Aix-en-Provence, Oppède, Vaudois, Camp des Milles).

The evening will continue with a reading session led by Yann Le Corre as part of the Nuits de la Lecture event.
