Bakir is an electronic music trio based in Marseille, blending North African rhythms from the Maghreb with Middle Eastern melodies, all infused with a Mediterranean twist.
Featuring traditional Moroccan instruments (guembri, karkabous, bendir), classical electric instruments (guitar, violin), a MIDI saxophone and an electronic setup (drum machines, sequencers and synthesizers), Bakir offers electro-traditional music that blends Maghreb sounds, ethnic music and acid, whipping the audience into a trance-like dance frenzy.
