The Eden Théâtre cinema welcomes Andy Thus Trio feat. Mike Pachelli for a swing & soul concert combining jazz, blues and soul, featuring Andy Thus on the Hammond B3 organ, Mike Pachelli on guitar and vocals, and Jean-Philippe Meresse on drums.
Andy Thus, pianist and above all organist with a passion for the Hammond B3, has been striving for years to promote this instrument in numerous concerts in France. His absolute master is Jimmy Smith, and soul and blues tones dominate all his concerts. It is an absolute treat to hear him play alongside American guitarist Mike Pachelli, with whom he forms this trio.
Mike Pachelli
His first influence was Wes Montgomery, who, according to Mike, first opened his ears to the possibilities of the guitar. Pachelli studied classical guitar at YSU, then moved to New York to study bebop with Joe Pass and Pat Martino. Mike's guitar style is an amalgam of blues, jazz, rock and neo-classical. He has performed and recorded throughout the United States and Europe with some of the most eclectic jazz, blues, pop and rock musicians, including Brother Jack McDuff, Jimmy Smith, Albert King, Keb' Mo', Micky Dolenz, Les & Larry Elgart, Michael Sembello, Tony Levin, Barbara Mandrell, Jeanne Mas, Phil Keaggy and Frank Stallone.
