  • Cibo di Strada, the unmissable event of the year for all lovers of Italian and Provençal gastronomy, is back in La Ciotat.

  • The spotlight, as ever, will be on street food: simple dishes to share in company and enjoy as you stroll through the colourful streets of the Provençal town of La Ciotat.
    To fully immerse you in the Mediterranean atmosphere and to highlight the links between Italian and Provençal gastronomy, there will be 13 Provençal and Italian food-trucks representing 6 regions of Italy: Piedmont, Emilia-Romagna, Sicily, Veneto, Campania and Lazio.

    The spotlight, as ever, will be on street food: simple dishes to share in company and enjoy as you stroll through the colourful streets of the Provençal town of La Ciotat.
    To fully immerse you in the Mediterranean atmosphere and to highlight the links between Italian and Provençal gastronomy, there will be 13 Provençal and Italian food-trucks representing 6 regions of Italy: Piedmont, Emilia-Romagna, Sicily, Veneto, Campania and Lazio.
    The food-trucks will be delighted to delight your taste buds, with something for everyone: pizza, pinsa, parmigiana, montanara (fried pizza), piadina, truffle risotto and burrata, ravioli served with tomato pesto sauce and burrata mousse, arancini, panelle, fried fish, fried mix (courgette, sage, cheese and herb ravioli), porchetta (pig roasted in the square with herbs! ), medieval recipe burger, octopus burger, tagliere (Italian cold meats and cheeses, impanata and caponata), tiramisù, bomboloni, ice creams, Sicilian cannoli and cartocci, wine bar, spritz, limoncello spritz, prosecco, lemonade...
    This 7th edition of the event will feature the cuisine of Campania (the Naples region).
    To liven up the event, a number of culinary shows will be put on by Michel Basaldella, international chef at Le Grand Puech restaurant in Mimet, and Agostino Coppola, Neapolitan chef and President of ACIF, the Associazione Cuochi Italiani in Francia (Association of Italian Chefs in France), who will be showcasing Italian-Provençal cuisine by creating special recipes.
    From this year onwards, each edition of Cibo di Strada will be marked by a theme, this year it's Il Calcio (football).

    6pm: Inauguration in the presence of local institutions with a presentation of the exhibitors and their delicacies
    7pm: Table football battle with the participation of local institutions

    5pm - 6.50pm: Open-air cinema - screening of the film Amici Miei in Italian with French subtitles
    7pm - 8pm & 9pm - 11pm: Musical entertainment with the group Riva - Italian cover versions

    5pm - 6.30pm: Replay of the Italy / Germany match - 1982 Football World Cup

    Every day, pianist and singer Laurent Versini will alternate with the group Riva.
    For culinary workshops, registration on site (limited to 15 people per workshop)
    All events are free!

    Play and win on site: 1 trip to Naples for 2 people, 2 tickets for an Olympique de Marseille match, 1 Campania Foot dinner menu for 2 people at Le Grand Puech restaurant in Mimet. The draw will take place on site on Sunday 31 August at 12 noon.
