The third edition of the Tanabata Matsuri will offer several events dedicated to Japanese culture.
It will stand out by combining the popular Japanese festival (matsuri) of Tanabata and an introduction to Japanese cinema, which is often overlooked, in the same place. This project is led by the Ciotanoshii association in collaboration with Les Lumières de l'Éden.

In addition to the traditional activities, the terrace of the Eden Théâtre will this year host an area of demonstrations and workshops, with the following programme.
10am: Koi Nobori workshop - design flying fish
11am: Yukata demonstration - watch a summer kimono and obi being put together
12pm: Okonomiyaki workshop - make your own okonomiyaki
2pm: Shaberiba - a moment of sharing around Japanese
3.30pm: CiotanoQuiz - come and test your Japanese culture
4.30pm: Yukata demonstration - watch a summer kimono and obi being put together
5.30pm: Koi Nobori workshop - design flying fish.
On the cinema side, the screenings will be as follows:
11am: The Tale of Princess Kaguya by Isao Takahata - from age 10, in Japanese with French subtitles. Running time: 2h17
2pm: Kiki the little witch by Hayao Miyazaki - from 6 years, French version. Running time: 1h42
4pm: A scene at the sea by Takeshi Kitano - Japanese version with French subtitles. Running time: 1hr 40mins
6pm: The Go Player by Kazuya Shiraishi - Japanese version with French subtitles. Running time: 2:09
8:30pm: En boucle by Junta Yamaguchi - in Japanese with French subtitles. Running time: 1 hour 25 minutes

Admission to the courtyard is free, although some activities are subject to a fee. Payment at the stands by tokens, available at the ticket office. Films at the usual rates.
