Our town is full of beautiful beaches where it’s great to lounge around with your feet in the water. Whether you’re looking for a place to relax, swim, or have fun with your family, you’ll find what you’re looking for among the different beaches we have to offer.

Grande Plage

This beach is particularly popular with families.

While a large part of the beach is public, another part is private and occupied by restaurants that rent deckchairs, mattresses and umbrellas. A popular swimming spot for residents and visitors.

Parking area near the beach. This is a non-smoking beach and dogs are not allowed on the beach.

The little plus: it’s fine sand!

Arene Cros beach

Arène Cros beach is a pebble and rock beach with a presence of posidonia meadow in the water.

Paid parking (free from 7pm to 9am) is available near the beach (the first two hours of parking are free).

This is a non-smoking beach and dogs are not allowed on the beach. A campsite, a tourist residence, several restaurants and a supermarket are located near the beach.

The little extra: the least crowded!”

Cyrnos Beach

This small sand and gravel beach will delight families for its convenience, surrounding restaurants and cafes, and active summer lifeguard and rescue station. In 2023, this beach has obtained the international environmental and tourist label Blue Flag Beach to reward the cleanliness of the place.
This is a non-smoking beach and dogs are not allowed on the beach.

The little extra: a petanque court nearby!

Fontsainte beach

On the side of corniche Arene Cros, there is Fontsainte beach where it is possible to enjoy a space for sunbathing or diving. Several restaurants, a hotel, a campsite and a tourist residence are located near the beach.

This is a non-smoking and unsupervised beach and dogs are not allowed on the beach.

To park, it is advisable to find a place on the side of Saint-Jean avenue or the Corniche Arène Cros.

The little extra: the most secret one!

Saint-Jean beach

Adjacent to the port of St. Jean, Plage St. Jean is a small sand and gravel beach, usually not very crowded and with a very family atmosphere. In season, kayaks can be rented as well as deck chairs, mattresses and umbrellas. Several restaurants are located near the beach. Note the beautiful view of the 3 secs.

Parking is possible around the port of Saint-Jean.

This is a non-smoking, non-supervised beach and dogs are not allowed on the beach.

The little extra: water activities nearby!

Capucins beach

Made of sand and gravel, Capucins beach benefits from all amenities: first aid station, toilets, playground for children.

A sandy playground has been created and nearby restaurants make it a safe and pleasant family beach to frequent.

And like all other beaches in La Ciotat, it offers an amazing landscape between the famous 3 secs and the enchanting bay.

The little extra: it is the closest to the old town

Liouquet beach

Liouquet beach is a pebble beach located below the cornice of the same name. This beach is accessible by stairs from the cornice. The right part is forbidden because of a risk of landslide. Only the part on the left of the stairs is authorized. This part is narrow but still pleasant because it is quiet and shaded.

This is a non-smoking beach and dogs are not allowed on the beach.

A hotel and several restaurants are located near the beach.

The little extra: an unobstructed view of the whole Bay!

Lumière beach

Lumière beach is highly sought after by families with children because the low declination makes swimming easy. Activities for children are also located on the esplanade. Labeled Tourism & Handicap for the four disabilities (mental, auditory, visual and motor), it benefits from a device intended for people with disabilities with, in particular, an access ramp for people with reduced mobility, the provision of specific bathing chairs and trained staff.

It is a non-smoking beach and dogs are not allowed on the beach. The closest parking is at the port of St Jean. Parking is also available along Beaurivage Boulevard as well as in the perpendicular avenues.
