Painting exhibition entitled Nature, organised by the Sirènes association

Nature, an inexhaustible source of inspiration, is showcased at the La Ciotat Tourist Office through the contrasting perspectives of six artists with unique styles. Paintings, drawings and emotions come together to offer a moment of escape and contemplation.

The artists on display

Agnès DURDYN
A Provençal by adoption, Agnès expresses a free and vibrant energy in her paintings. Her abstract creations, reminiscent of dance, connect humans to the environment and translate emotions and sensations into spontaneous movement.

Laure ESCALERE
A passionate self-taught artist, Laure began with drawing before moving on to acrylic painting. She composes colourful works in which nature and scenes from everyday life come to life, often in small formats rich in detail.

André LATAGUERRA
A renowned artist from La Ciotat, André is inspired by Mediterranean landscapes and Provençal markets. Since the 1980s, his oil paintings on canvas have captured the light and vitality of the South with a realistic, warm style deeply attached to his region.

Magali PIERRISNARD
Originally from the islands, Magali draws inspiration from shades of blue and green, reflecting her roots. Her paintings invite viewers to travel and find serenity, evoking the strength and gentleness of nature in luminous canvases.

Renée SIMON-LABORDE
Trained at the Beaux-Arts in Algiers, Renée is nicknamed the ‘pencil painter’. Her meticulous and poetic work explores contrasts in values and colours. Her drawings, sometimes tinged with melancholy, convey a rare delicacy and vibrant vitality.

An exhibition by Sirènes

This event is part of a partnership between the Sirènes association, which brings together artists from La Ciotat and the surrounding area, and the Tourist Office. Together, they promote local creativity through four annual artistic events.
