The softness of rounded shapes invites itself into the heart of art...
Circles in the evening, circles in the water, witches' circles, roundness is all around us. The circle is nature at its most balanced and harmonious. It's synonymous with fullness, continuity and unity. Circles have inspired artists for centuries. Even in the rapid evolution of the 20th and 21st centuries, artists have turned to this roundness to find new meaning.
The artists in this exhibition have turned the theme on...The softness of rounded shapes invites itself into the heart of art...
The artists in this exhibition have turned the theme on its head and, to stop us going round in circles, have explored the symbolic richness of the round, capturing in their work the power of these universal shapes. An invitation to wander through the curved lines and colours of their original interpretations...
So let yourself be carried away by this artistic circle, where each creation envelops you in a captivating sensory experience!

It took some forty years for Hélène BONNET, alias Ptitbonnet, to dare to leave her cocoon, comfortably installed on the ankle on which she was born and thanks to which she has seen so many colours! Now it's time to explode with colour, long live life!
All round
‘I was immediately inspired by the theme of this exhibition, because I've always preferred to work in the round... It makes life seem more fluid, more voluptuous, almost seamless. Roundness and colour, vive la Vie! ’
Sylvie FLOUR

Sylvie FLOUR was born into a family of artists (engraver, painter, sculptor) and studied at the Beaux-Arts in Marseille in the 80s. She trained in computer graphics, which she practised both professionally and on a freelance basis.
Over the last ten years or so, she has felt the need to
rediscover more sensory techniques such as painting, drawing and collage.
Her inspiration comes from the beauty of her native land, with a strong Mediterranean and oceanic bent. Through her aquatic universe, she is keen to defend nature, which is regularly damaged by mankind. Contemplating and protecting is her leitmotiv.
All round
The aquatic world brings together a whole universe of living things where curves and curved lines mingle. The major element, water, is the common and vital factor. This environment, most often circular, rolls, sways, swirls, shapes and moves to the rhythm of currents and tides. Despite its many adaptations over the centuries, it has never been so vulnerable to human aggression.

Born and bred in a professional artistic environment, Dany LEROUX discovered painting late in life by meeting up with friends who were painters. ‘I was particularly attracted by colours and the pleasure of mixing them. For me, painting is that moment of solitude with my canvas. It's a dialogue between three people: me, the canvas and the paint. I love these moments! ‘She first took part in exhibitions in Paris and since 2021, she has been exhibiting in La Ciotat, the town where she has settled...
All curves
I've always had a soft spot for pots. They tell a story: the story of their time and their use. There's something reassuring about their roundness when I paint them... and when I imagine their environment, something warm emerges from the canvas!

A lifelong lover of the arts, Nathalie LUJAN began
began exploring different forms of artistic expression
expression before specialising in fluid art over the last 5 years,
seduced by the freedom and potential of this technique.
She uses combinations of pigments and mediums and
mediums and uses blown acrylic casting techniques to create
create ethereal effects, swirls and organic cells that
that captivate the eye and the mind. The colours seem to dance and intertwine on the canvas.
Her paintings are influenced by nature, seascapes and meteorological phenomena.
All roundness
I invite you to discover a collection of works that celebrate the softness of rounded forms and the fluidity of curves. Each unique piece, with a palette of vibrant or soothing colours, explores the theme of roundness through compositions that evoke movement, harmony and balance.

Trained by talented ceramists at the Manufacture de Sèvres and the Arts Appliqués, Josée QUELLIER first explored the world of tableware and decorative arts, with the support of the Ateliers d'Art de France. Then, experimenting with new techniques and materials, she created sculptures, paintings and jewellery. The know-how of shaping - modelling by hand - creative freedom, decorations and firing methods, these practices open up a new field of possibilities for her, where each creation is unique. In her quest for ever-new expressions, she works in porcelain, in a subtle quest for extreme finesse. She imagines and creates translucent, ethereal pieces, veritable lacework, playing with the raw material, the engravings, the imprints, the traces, leading the eye to adopt several points of view right to the heart of the object.
All roundness
The theme of the exhibition appealed to me because it evokes the idea of ‘softness’, a personal philosophy of life and work. In my work with clay, softening the angles, the marks generated by the different tools and my fingers, is the very essence of the result to be presented to the Other's gaze. And roundness is the softest geometric form in my eyes. (All the pieces presented are unique. The technique used is hand modelling. The firings for porcelain and stoneware rise to 1280° for those in the kiln.
